Telo Avenue is not a brand it’s just where I ended up after years of skating and making questionable life choices. When I moved up to this property in Northern California, there wasn’t anything to skate, especially vert. So building a ramp and something to skate wasn’t really a question, it was necessity. 

This whole thing comes from a piece of wood, and the people around it.  From the style and tricks to the knowledge, art, materials and opportunities all of it got passed down. This is me putting it back into the scanner and printing it out again. The artwork, shirts, and goods exist to fund something bigger. The construction of a vert ramp and a place everyone’s welcome. At a time when vert skating is fading, this is about keeping it alive. About bringing back the backyard ramp, the sessions, and the environment that shaped generations and creating that same opportunity for the next.

The name Telo Avenue carries a layered meaning. “Telo” comes from the Greek word telos, a concept used by Aristotle to describe an end, a purpose, and a final cause and reason something exists. That idea reflects the deeper intention behind this project. The name also traces back to Telo Avenue in Torrance. Home of Crailtap and where the skatepark was deconstructed and its materials carried forward to be resurrected here.This project also being based in Mount Shasta, where the myth of Telos tells of a hidden city beneath the mountain. Together these meanings reflect both an ending and a beginning, the passing of one era into another, and the purposeful  creation of something new built from what came before.
